Robert W. (Bob) Myers, Jr., 65, of Range Road, Wadestown, departed this life on November 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born, Robert W. Myers, Jr., to the late Robert W. Myers, Sr and Maxine Core Myers Shriver in Wadestown on July 20, 1947.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Louise Dent Myers, whom he married September 17, 1971, as well as his daughters, Mary (David) Downey of Philippi and Alisha Myers (Adam Jozwick) of Arthurdale; and one brother, Bill Myers of Washington.

Mr. Myers proudly served his country from August 29, 1966 through May 30, 1972 in the United States Navy. He obtained the rank of Engineman Second Class and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device. Bob served in Vietnam during this time and was involved in combat with the Vietnamese on different occasions.

He was a member and trustee of the West Warren Baptist Church in Wadestown.

Bob was a truck driver for Fairmont Supply Company for 37 years. He collected Whitehouse Vinegar Jars and all types of glassware. His hobbies included woodworking and traveling to the Smokey Mountains. He loved to cruise around town in the "Red Dodge Truck" and watch the black smoke roll. Another past time that he greatly enjoyed was visiting neighbors on his John Deere Tractor.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 3-8 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
