Edna B. Six, 90, of Shinnston, WV died Friday, June 8, 2012.
She was born March 12, 1922 at Glovers Gap, a daughter of the late Harrison B. Kennedy and Dora E. Moore Kennedy.
Edna was a homemaker. However, she kept very active with all types of social activities. She was very active with the Marion County Rescue Squad, United Emergency Unit in Hundred, served as a volunteer with Hospice, Fairmont General Hospital volunteer, as well as being an honorary member of the Hundred FFA Chapter.
She was a graduate of Mannington High School and a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Delmar Riffe of Carbondale, PA and Danny Six of Clarksburg; a step-daughter, Janice Christoph of Coeur-D'Alene, Idaho; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Normal Riffe, second husband, Herman Six, and her third husband, Sam Empfield; three brothers, Bill Kennedy, Harry Kennedy, and Chester Kennedy, and three sisters, Lucille Pinardo, Flossie Kennedy, and Grace Kennedy; and a step-son, Terry Six.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Monday and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Rev. Dr. Michael C. Richards and Wade Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton.
