John C. Strosnider, 92, of Proctor, WV died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at his residence.
He was born April 11, 1918 at Wana, WV, a son of the late Milo Earl Strosnider and Grace Cummins Strosnider.
Mr. Strosnider was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Steelton Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II and was recalled to service during the Korean War. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 83 of Wheeling.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Garrison Strosnider; two daughters, Vanda Strosnider of McMechen, WV and Fay Stanley of Gladewater, TX; two grandchildren of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Strosnider, Jacob Strosnider, and Byron Strosnider; and two sisters, Louise Gump and Betty Gibson.
Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Saturday at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 South Bridge Street, New Martinsville. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Scott McKeever and Evangelist Ed Melott officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery near Littleton.
