Opal Lemley, 91, of Burton, WV died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 in the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Lemley was born May 1, 1914 at Burton, WV a daughter of the late Mancel Byard and Bertha May Price Byard.
Opal was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church of Burton, a member of the American Baptist Women Mission Circle of Burton, and a former Farm Women Club member for over 50 years, which is now know as the CEOS. She was a graduate of Hundred High School.
Surviving are one sister, Irene B. Eakin, a resident of the Pleasant Acres Christian Haven of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Bus" Lemley who died on June 11, 1982. They were married December 10, 1949. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Clelland.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday with the Pastor Jack Snoderly officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
