Allen E Derby, Jr., 58, of Hundred, WV died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
He was born December 15, 1947 at Wellsville, OH a son of Bettie Tanley Derby of Littleton and the late Allen E. Derby, Sr.
Allen was a laborer and did many different jobs. He last worked for the Town of Hundred. He was a member of the Rice Ridge Community Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Wilma Ater Derby; two sons, Allen E. Derby III of Hundred and David Derby, Sr. of Holbrook, PA; one daughter, Barbara King of Blue, WV; four brothers, Charles H. Derby of New Martinsville, Steve Derby of Littleton, Richard L. Derby of Coburn, and Nie Derby of Littleton; three sisters, Linda Fox of Burton, Betty Shreve and Sherrilynn Greaver both of Littleton; four grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Barker, Jennifer Barker, David W. Derby, Jr., Charles Allen Derby; and one great-grandchild, Tori Lynn Edgell.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Delinda Derby and an uncle, Kenneth Derby.
Friends may call at the Rice Ridge Community Church near Littleton from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the Rice Ridge Community Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday with the Pastor Roger Greathouse officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Ridge Cemetery.
