Geraldine E. "Jerry" Tennant, 77, of Mannington, WV died November 2, 2006 in the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Facility, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jerry was born May 9, 1929 at Farmington, WV, a daughter of the late Selley S. Palmer and Hattie L. Mays Palmer.
Jerry was a homemaker. Her favorite hobbies were bingo and playing cards. She was a protestant by faith. She was the former president of the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW Post #629 of Fairmont.
Surviving are one son, Franklin Tennant of Bronson, Florida; two daughters, Sue Gregory and Shirley Ann Tennant, both of Mannington; two sisters, Myrel Jean Levelle of Mannington and Nancy Louise Tennant of Hundred; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin A. Tennant, who died on May 8, 1980, and one sister, Margaret Inghram.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with the Pastor Robert Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmington.
