Wayne K. Boord, 78, of Burton, WV died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1927 at Earnshaw, WV a son of the late Harold W. & Maggie Hinerman Boord.
Mr. Boord was a retired appliance service man for the Home Hardware of Hundred. He loved horses and loved to attend the livestock auction in Waynesburg, PA every Thursday. He was a protestant by faith.
Surviving are one son, Douglas W. Boord of Hundred; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grand-daughters, Alexa and Anastasia Smith, both of Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Joan Boord who died on January 10, 2000.
At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Cemetery Committee, PO Box 1200, Hundred, WV 26575.
