Jack L. McCoy, Sr. "Windy", 81 of Burton, WV died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his residence.
He was born June 27, 1926 in Daybrook, a son of the late Martin A. McCoy and Cora Dell Wilson McCoy.
He was a retired mechanic and heavy equipment operator and formerly attended the Church of Christ in Daybrook. He was a United States Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Thomas McCoy; four daughters & spouses, Karen and Joe Huber of Stanley, ND, Donna and Hugh Richardson of Herndon, VA, Barbara and Jay Phillips of Fairmont, and Brenda and Ronnie Parson of Waynesburg, PA; one son, Jack L. McCoy, Jr. of Harpers Ferry, WV; five grandchildren, Robert Snider, Tracie Fadely, Kristina Parson, Forrest Richardson, and Zach Phillips; and six great-grandchildren, Jesse Sutphin, Gabby Bellizio, Hannah Sutphin, Georgia Snider, Madison Fadely, and Karen Snider.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin A. McCoy; a half-brother, Shannon "Sam" Wilson; a son, Joe McCoy; and his mother and father-in-law, Esther and Hagan Six.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Pastor Tim Brower officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Daybrook.
