Charles D. Himelrick, 78, of Hundred, WV died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Clarksburg, WV on April 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Virgil Eugene Himelrick and Corrine Methany Himelrick.

Mr. Himelrick was a retired employee of Ormet Corp. He retired in 1988 where he worked as a carpenter. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred. He was also a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ, the Littleton Lodge #131, AF & AM, and the Scottish Rite Osiris Shrine Temple of Wheeling.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Bernideen Myers Himelrick; four daughters and spouses, Kay Marie and John Krieger of Jena, LA, Patricia St. John of Cameron, Linda and Gene Britton of Hundred, and Shelia and Roger Cain of Cameron; one son & spouse, Richard E. and Pamela Himelrick of Middlebourne; proud and loving grandfather of twelve grandchildren, David Kay Prigga, Suzanne Stapleton, Michael Elliott Prigga, Jonathan St. John, Daniel Nakoma Himelrick, Charles M. Himelrick, Nathan Himelrick, Christina Hostutler, Brian Britton, Jessica Kuhn, Roger Lee Cain and Josh Cain; and eight great-grandchildren, Katie Rowe, Mason Rowe, Alexander Britton, Mahalah Britton, Aiden Britton, Preston Kuhn, Trevor Kuhn, and Zackary D. Hostutler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Robert Himelrick.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Tuesday with Rick Barnhart officiating. Entombment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown. The Littleton Lodge #131 AF/AM will conduct masonic graveside rites. Full military honors will be performed at graveside by the Westover VFW Post #9916.
