Hubert L. Riggs, 82 of Mansfield, Ohio died unexpectedly Sunday, December 8, 2007 at MedCentral Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born February 18, 1925 in Littleton, WV, to Herman and Elizabeth Hicks Riggs. He had worked at Mansfield Tire and Rubber for 35 years and then went to work for Madison Schools as a custodian.
He married Kathleen Dunn on October 26, 1946 and they enjoyed doing many things together, including riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles. Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
Along with his loving wife, he is survived by one granddaughter, Kathy Hunter of Mansfield, two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Kanz of Mansfield, two great-great-grandchildren; Shayla Kanz and Conner Wilson of Mansfield, and numerous nieces and nephews from Pennsylvania.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Keith Riggs; one daughter, Shirley Diane Riggs; five sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-8 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Friday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned, PA.
