Wilma P. Mercer, 70, of Burton, WV died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center.
She was born June 11, 1937 at Fairview, WV a daughter of the late James R. Barr and Goldie Jones Barr.
Wilma was retired from Owen-Illinois in Bridgeton, NJ where she had worked for more than 20 years. She was a protestant by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph T. Mercer; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph T. Mercer Jr and his wife Deborah of Hundred; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and her husband Thomas Marguglio of Bridgeton, NJ; two brothers, Gayle Barr of Daybrook and Willbert Barr of Wadestown; two sisters, Ruby Clovis of Bridgeton, NJ and Hazel Watson of Waynesburg, PA; four grandchildren & spouses, Douglas and Shannon Mercer of Miracle Run, Joey Mercer of Daybrook, Stephanie and Tommy Marguglio, both of Bridgeton, NJ; and one great-grandson, Drew Mercer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Mercer and an brother who died in infancy, James Barr.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Pastor Tim Brower officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery near Hundred.
