atOSCAR “JIM” SMITH
Oscar Richard “Jim” Smith, 82, passed away, Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury, NC.
He was born October 10, 1935 in Waynesburg, PA. He was the son of the late Ova Roberts and Oscar Smith.
Mr. Smith was a graduate of Hundred High School. He served in the United States Army and worked as an engineer for Polaroid until his retirement.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Margaret Ruggeri Smith; sisters, Jane Park, Margaret Lemasters, Mildred Courtright, Jean Johnson; and brothers, Tom Smith, Fred Smith, and John Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cyndie M. Badgio; sons, Ken R. Smith and Chris L. Smith; sisters, Kate Crow and Betty Duncan; seven grand-children and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the Bethany United Methodist Church on Nettle Hill at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Pastor Gale Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.
