WILBUR TALBERT
Wilbur Lee Talbert, 82, of Morgantown, formerly of Daybrook, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Madison Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born January 26, 1936 at Brownsville, PA, a son of Wilbur Talbert and Icel Ammons Talbert.
Mr. Talbert worked at many jobs throughout his lifetime and last worked as a mechanic. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cowen, WV and was a member of the Senior Monongalians of Morgantown.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Timmy & Candy Talbert of Daybrook and Terry and Sandy Talbert of Erbacon, WV; two grandchildren, Jennifer Talbert and David Talbert; and one great-grandson, Gavin Talbert Rakes.
In addition to his parents Mr. Talbert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Talbert; one brother, Billy Talbert; one sister, Anna Mae Talbert; and one grandson, Timothy Scott Talbert.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at the Olive Cemetery in Pentress with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
