FREDDIE McCOY
Freddie Carl “Carley” McCoy, 89, of Blacksville, WV died Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born June 29, 1929 at Daybrook, a son of the late Thomas McCoy and Clara Pearl Ammons McCoy.
Carley was a retired heavy equipment operator. He also was an antique dealer and loved to go to auctions and yard sales.
He was a United States Marine and a protestant by faith.
Surviving are one son, Daniel McCoy of Blacksville; three daughters, Tina Kay Raber of Spraggs, PA, Darlene McCoy and Lou Ann McCoy, both of South Carolina; one step-son, Rodney Stieringer of New York; two step-daughters, Tammie Stieringer of Spraggs, PA and Kim & Larry Paugh of Corinth, WV; one sister, Amanda Wilson of Daybrook; one sister-in-law, Jeannie McCoy of Daybrook; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara McCoy; three brothers, Estle McCoy, Tommy Dale McCoy, and Ralph McCoy; one sister, Maudie Tennant; one son, Randy Moore; and one step-son, Danny Stieringer.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with Pastor Robert Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
