AMANDA LEE WILSON
Amanda Lee Wilson, 91, of Daybrook, went to her heavenly home October 27, 2018. She was born November 10, 1926, a daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl McCoy.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Wilson, daughter Sally Vance, sister Maudie Tennant and brothers, Ralph, Estle, Carlie, and Tommy McCoy.
Amanda graduated from Clay-Battelle High School and was a faithful member of the Daybrook Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing, listening to country music and tending to her flowers.
Surviving are her children: Steve Wilson, Susan Rockwell and husband Arliss, Sandy Moore and Tim Wilson; grandchildren, David (Stacy) Wilson, Sam (Melissa) Wilson, Angi (Mike) Chisler, Josh (Chelsa) Rockwell, Traci (Alan) Poffenberger, Butch Stewart, Jessica Stewart, Teddy (Jessica) Stewart, Carey (Jason) Dickerson, Casey Moore, Bengy Swanson, and Corey (Jeff) Curran; sisters-in-law, Jeanie McCoy and Janice Wilson-Hall; twenty-three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends and neighbors. Amanda’s greatest joy in life was being with her family. Those who called her “Mom” and “Nan” will forever remember the kind and loving person that she was.
Family and friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, October 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday October 30, 2018 in the funeral home with Evangelist Steve Snider officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilson Cemetery at Daybrook.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the family. We are so saddened to hear of Amanda's passing. She was a bright spirit and we always enjoyed being with her at church each time we returned to the Daybrook area.She will certainly be missed. We loved her very much and appreciated her hugs and caring ways. May sweet memories soon soften the grief you feel today and in the coming days bring smiles as you remember happy times with her.
