CHARLES R. LEMASTERS
Charles R. Lemasters, 88, of Concord, NC died Sunday, November 25, 2018 in the Carolinas Healthcare North East Hospital in Concord, NC.
He was born September 3, 1930 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late John W. Lemasters and Margaret E. Morris Lemasters.
Chuck was retired from the Carnegie Natural Gas Company in Mannington where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He was the past fire chief for the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department. He also retired from the Florida Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 of Hundred and was a member of the United Emergency Unit in Hundred for many years. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
Chuck was a member of the Kannapolis Church of Christ in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Surviving is his second wife, Sharon K. Wright Lemasters; three daughters and their husbands, Cynthia Parsons and husband Dick of Murrells Inlet, SC; Charlene Curry and husband Danny of Burton; and Emma Swain and husband Steve of Concord, NC; two step-daughters, Gaylene M. Peyatt of Summersville, WV and Sharyl Tate of Concord, NC; five grandchildren and their spouses, Theresa and Aaron Briggs, Billy and Sierra Lemley, Melinda and Jake Ramsey, Jake and Cat Swain, and Emily and Chris Kennedy; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, John J. Lemasters, a resident of the Cameron Continuous Care Center.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Lemley Lemasters; one brother, Roy Lemasters; and three sisters, Ida Faulks, Mary Carr, and Edith Cain.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with Evangelist Kirk Sams officiating. Interment will follow in the Sancho Cemetery near Hundred.

Dear Cindy, Charlene, and Emma I was so sorry to hear about your Dad's death. I remember so many things about us all together in Ohio and how heart broken I was when you moved away.
