JAMES E. THORNE

            James E. Thorne, 75, of Days Run Road, Fairview, WV died Monday, May 20, 2019 at his residence.

            He was born October 1, 1943 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Virgil Thorne and Vivian Tennant Thorne.

            Mr. Thorne was a retired construction laborer and a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge #264.

            Surviving are two sons, Ryan Thorne and his fiancé R. J. Spellman of Morgantown and James Thorne II and his wife Lisa of Days Run.

            In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Karol Ann Thorne who died on April 24, 2014; one sister, Marilyn Sifers and her husband Franklin Sifers.

            Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Thursday.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating.  Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
