Pastor Gorby was a shining star in our lives during his ministry at N. Fork Baptist. He prayed with us during some difficult times as well as showed up at the hospital if a loved one was sick or having surgery. He prayed with my 10 year old son whom accepted the Lord just before he left to return to SC. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. Many prayers for his family to find comfort knowing he is pain free and walking the streets of gold now.

I attended North Fork Baptist up until I moved out of the area in 2018. Pastor Roger was the most influential pastor that I have ever been blessed with. He helped me through many trials and troubles and always had a kind ear and sound biblical advice. His leadership was a shining example of a Godly Pastor leading his flock. He was already greatly missed when he retired but we know for sure he is home with his Lord and that comforts us. My prayers go up for your loss.

Dearest Barbara & family
Please know you all have our most sincere sympathy. Pastor Roger was a man after God’s own heart. As a Shepherd to this WV flock there was none finer and as a friend, we can say no less. Our prayers are with each one of you & our hearts share in your grief.
I will always hear the special tone of his voice when he would talk if going home to be with the Lord.....especially the “to see Him face to face”.....and we all know he has now experienced the utmost love & joy❤️ Our hearts will be selfishly heavy for many days to come....yet so happy for his completed journey❤️
God Bless each of you & wrap His loving arms around you today & in the days ahead🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 Hugs & prayers to you all ❣️

Having known Roger from grade school and Graduating 1962, are fond memories of him. His parents and my parents were friends. My friendship with Donna Faye and Sharon will always be remembered. I will be praying for the entire family and the Flock of Sheep the Lord gave to Roger to Shepherd. It is so wonderful to know he heard the calling of Christ and many of those now are assured they will one day be worshiping Christ together. Love and prayers for all of you through the days ahead. My heart goes out to you during this time. God be with each and may He cover you with His everlasting Love and peace.

Pastor Gorby was a true man of faith. I accepted Christ, when Pastor officiated my grandsons funeral. He also baptized me and watched my husband come back to Christ and he was always there for our family. A great man and he will be greatly missed by many, but oh what a re-union in heaven is happening.
