DEBRA MERCER

        Debra Elaine Mercer, 68, of Pennsboro, WV died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at her residence.

        She was born May 22, 1952 at Shamokin, PA, a daughter of the late Warren Wittreich and Lois Lewellyn Wittreich.

        Mrs. Mercer was retired from the State of New Jersey where she had worked in the pension and taxation department.

        She was Catholic by faith.

        Surviving are her husband, James Mercer; children and step-children, Mario Wittreich of Jacksonville, FL, Jason Mercer of Richmond, VA, Monica Wittreich of Tucson, AZ, Daniela Gutfleisch of Richmond, VA, and Susan Hawkins of Richmond, VA; one brother, Ben Wittreich of Florida; one sister, Andrea; and five grandchildren.

        In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Wittreich; and one grandson, Jack.

        Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service hour.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery near Hundred.

Jim, my deepest condolences for your loss. Debbie was a pistol full of life. I spoke with her just a couple of weeks ago. Obviously weak but still full of spunk. May she Rest In Peace.
