DOLORES JEAN HOCKENBERRY

          Dolores Jean Morris Hockenberry, 86, of Wadestown, WV died Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in the John Manchin Assisted Living Center in Farmington.

          She was born June 5, 1934 in Grant Town, WV, a daughter of the Edwin “Dick” Morris and Nellie M. Franks Morris.

          Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church.

          Surviving are her children, Brenda (George) Michael, David (Debbie) Hockenberry, Kathy (Wesley) Sheehan, Michael Hockenberry, John (Kathy) Hockenberry, Donna (Toge) Tennant, and Tim (Michelle) Hockenberry; a brother-in-law, Raymond Stiles; grandchildren, Brian (Christy) Michael, Tara (Brian) Kurcaba, Justin (Amber) Morgan, Devin (Nicole) Tennant, Tayla (Josh) Thomforde, Cody Hockenberry, Jordan Hockenberry, and Jarret Hockenberry; and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Faith & Brian Kurcaba, Spencer & McKenna Morgan, Astaire, Adelyn, Abel, & Asher Thomforde, Kaitlin Sheehan, and Kallie Tennant.

          In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend and spouse, Frank Hockenberry; a grandson, Trent Tennant; and a sister, Mary Lou Stiles.

          The family would like to thanks Jean’s caregivers, Emelia & Lori, WV Caring Hospice, and the John Manchin Assisted Living Center for the care and love shown to Jean and her family.

          At the request of the deceased there will not be any funeral home visitation or funeral service.  Jean chose cremation as her method of disposition. 

          The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of arrangements.

I'm sorry to hear about Jeanie's passing. I always enjoyed being around her in church and hearing her laugh.
