ORVAL BONNELL, JR.
Orvall Bonnell, Jr, 70, of Pentress, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in the Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born March 22, 1950 at Morgantown, a son of the late Orval Brant Bonnell and Nellie Ruth Summers Bonnell.
Mr. Bonnell formerly worked in the dietary department at West Virginia University.
Sonny loved seeing his grandchildren. He loved mountaineerr football and tail gating at the Coughin Corner. The family would like to give a special thanks to every one at the Mapleshire Nursing Home for the love and care they gave Sonny during his stay there.
Surviving is his wife, Diana Babb Bonnell; one son Adam Bonnell and his wife Shirlee; one daughter, Amber Bonnell and her companion Tim Tennant; one brother, Rodney Bonnell of Morgantown; grandchildren, Sydnee and Cooper Bonnell, Jasmine, Rose, and Lillie Tennant; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Bonnell; and one sister Dorothy Mowrey.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-8 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Monday with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery.

My heartfelt, sincere condolences to Family of "Sonny" Bonnell. Sonny was a special person, a friend and a Mountaineer. We shared a lot of good times and laughs together and he will never be forgotten.
