CARSON SQUIRES
Carson Alexander Squires, 20, of Pentress, WV died Saturday, November 13, 2021.
He was born July 6, 2001 at Morgantown, a son of Gary Squires, Jr. of Morgantown and Heather VanGilder Yusko of Scenery Hill, PA.
Carson formerly attended the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his maternal grandmother, Gerry Rowan; his step-father, Tim Yusko; step-mother, Janelle Squires; one brother, Gavin Squires; step-brother, Hunter Yusko and is wife Heather; paternal grandparents, Gary Squires Sr. and his wife Sue Squires; Step-grandmother, Linda VanGilder; Aunt Lorinda Demedici; Aunt Holly Miranov and her husband Andy; Uncle Scott Squires; and numerous cousins including Quinlin Vasquez, Emersyn Miranov, Remington Miranov, Jordyn Carver, Aidan Squires, Lauren Squires, Ryan Ashley, and Kayla Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Allen VanGilder, II; maternal great-grandparents, Ernie and Janie Brooks; paternal great-grandmother, Norma Neubauer; and cousin, Orian VanGilder.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to the members of the Blacksville Volunteer Fire Department and to the Blacksville Community for their compassion, love, and assistance during this time.
At this time there will not be any funeral home visitation or funeral service. All services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, my deepest condolences to you my old friend, Gary and to the entire family.
I’ll never forget the laughs and good times I shared with Carson throughout high school. I’ll always remember how he would try to make everyone laugh and bring a smile to their faces. Rest In Peace Carson, you will be missed.
He was a good kid and it’s sad that he left us young, God bless and protect his family in this hard time

This is truly very sad news. Words can not express the feeling of pain a family must endure during experiences like this. Know that you have friends and family who are behind you and will do whatever you ask to lighten the heavy load you are carrying. I have not the words for the family of Carson nor have any idea what heartache that they are going through. Carson was such a great kid with the best family and friends surrounding him. It was only a few months ago i saw him at work for the first time in years and what a great young man he became. My prayers go out to the family especially 2 great parents in Heather and Gary.
I don’t even know what to say. He was an awesome guy and my heart goes out to his family. He made a lot of people smile, and was always laid back and kind.

I only met him twice while I was helping out cheddars in Morgantown. Very nice kid. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing.
