EDWIN LEO MACKEY
Edwin Leo “Red Buck” Mackey, 79, of Georgetown Community, Cameron, WV died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his residence.
He was born February 21, 1942 at Woodruff, WV a son of the late Leo Edison Mackey and Beulah Kathleen Conaway Mackey.
Mr. Mackey worked as a telephone foreman. He was a Methodist by faith. Red Buck was a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post #437 of Moundsville, American Legion Post #18 of Cameron, and was the commander of the VFW Post in Littleton at the time that it was destroyed by fire.
He loved spending time with his family. He especially loved to spend time with his horses, hunting, fishing, farming, and being in the outdoors.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Theresa and Greig Parsons of Wheeling, Norma and Brandon Whipkey of Cameron, and Becky and Rob Winters of Cameron; six grandchildren, Erika Whipkey, Emma Whipkey, Zach Parsons, Colton Winters, Mason Parsons, and Cale Winters; siblings, Leland Mackey, Deborah Lynn Poe, Randy Mackey, Donald Mackey, George Mackey, and Jerry Mackey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Karen Sue Mackey, who died December 23, 2021; and three siblings, Marvin Mackey, James Mackey, and Carolyn Kay Mackey.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastor Danny O’Neil officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Ridge Cemetery.

Buck was my Cousin we both spent much time together hunting the woods that he knew very well so good that he knew were to be on a drive. The most memorable time was when we met in Cam Ranh Bay he was going home and I was coming in country you could have not planned it any better . I LOVED this MAN like a Brother and HE will be Missed .
