LEONARD “PETE” METZ
Leonard “Pete” Metz, 83, of Hundred, WV died Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born January 11, 1939 at Hundred, a son of the late William E. Metz and Anna B. Myers Metz.
Pete was a retired truck driver.
Surviving is one son & his wife, Billy & Melissa Metz of Hundred; one daughter, Peggy Cumberledge of Spraggs, PA; one brother, Jack Metz of Morgantown; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy L. Metz, who died on January 7, 2018; one daughter, Susan Barr; one son, Eugene Metz; two grandchildren, Chandra Blankenship and Bradley Metz; two sisters, Helen Patterson and Betty Cumberlidge; and seven brothers, William Metz, Robert Metz, Ray Metz, Albert Metz, David Metz, Cecil Metz, and Charles Metz.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Yost Cemetery with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.

Pete was a wonderful man. He and my father were friends for many years and when I was engaged to their son, he and Judy were so kind and accepting of me.
Rest In Peace Pete, you are missed.
So Sadden by this passing of one that grew up in Earnshaw WV as I did from 1939 to 1957. His sister, Helen was a life long friend until her death. My parents Glenn and Lucille Smith family shared a lot of good times. Condolence to the entire family I am sure he will be missed by all. May he rest in peace.
