RONALD WAYNE ASKEW

          Ronald Wayne Askew, 77, of Burton, WV died Thursday, May 9, 2024 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

          He was born November 30, 1946 at Checotah, Oklahoma, a son of the late Perry Askew and Alva Lucille Janeway Askew.

          Ron was a disabled veteran having served in the United States Navy.

          He was a member of the Church of Christ.

          Surviving is his wife, Rhonda Bartrug Askew; two daughters, Sharla Porter of Goodyear, Arizona and Kerry Barrett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Richard Askew of McAlester, Oklahoma and Danny Askew of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son of who died at birth.

          All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

          Interment will take place at the WV National Cemetery at Grafton.

          The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
