JAKE MARTIN
Jake Thomas Martin, 28, of Core passed away on August 28, 2024 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Jake graduated from Clay-Battelle High School & was employed at PACE Enterprises prior to his illness. He was a member of the Morgantown Church of the brethren. He enjoyed history, cooking, watching spooky shows & spending time with his family including many nieces & nephews who adored him. Jake always had a story or fun fact to share. Often accompanied by a sly smile & his trade mark giggle. He triumphed over many medical hardships in his short life & never complained. His strength, determination & humor throughout his treatments were remarkable. While cancer ultimately took his body it never stole his heart which will live on in ours forever.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
