BETH E. EVANS
Beth Elore Evans, 85, of Hagerstown, MD died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her residence having been under Hospice care for the past two years.
She was born February 15, 1940 at Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of the late Melvin Stricklan and Sylvia McCabe Stricklan.
Beth was a retired secretary and was a protestant by faith.
Surviving is her husband, James L. Evans; two sons, Rodney Ryan of Elk Garden, WV and Vincent Ryan, Jr. of Mission Viejo, CA; one daughter, Catherine Drumm of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Jack Tuggle of Arizona; one sister, Myrna Jedlicka of Decatur, ILL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jane Ryan.
At the request of the deceased her body will be cremated. Her cremains will be buried in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in the spring.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV is in charge of arrangements.
Aunt Beth was the sister I never had to live with. I spent a lot of my spare time growing up at my Grandparents house in Sullivan Illinois. Aunt Beth was always there sharing her time with me. She was so special and will be missed. She now is joined once again with her parents Melvin and Sylvia, her sister Myrna, brother Jack(my Dad), Mary Jane, and Daniel. I am sure they all had a wonderful reunion in Heaven. May they all Rest in Peace. Connie
