GEORGE D. PARK

          George D. Park, 95, of Metz, WV died Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

          He was born May 18, 1931 at home, a son of the late Mire L. Park and Lydia Ellen Willey Park.

          Mr. Park was a retired laborer and worked in the coal mining industry.  He was a veteran of the United States Marines.

          Surviving is one son, David Park and his companion Paula Mackey of Littleton; one daughter, Billie Grubb and her husband Mark of Farmington; one daughter-in-law, Janet M. Park of Earnshaw; five grandchildren, Kristie Park, Daniel Park, Jericho Park, Zach Grubb, and Amie Grubb; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Belva Park; his second wife, Bonnie Longwell; one son, Ervin Park; one granddaughter, Jessica Grubb; and siblings, Dudley Park, Lewis J. Park, LeRoy Park, Estelle Phillips, Gail Cather, and Lillian Stoneking.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery near Earnshaw.
