MARY JO GUMP

          Mary Jo Gump, of Coburn, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in the WVU Medicine Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.

          She was born March 29, 1938 in Hundred, the daughter of the late Andy & Della Mae Villers Church.  She was the fifth generation heir of Henry Church, who founded the Town of Hundred.  She was a protestant by faith.

          She was employed by Columbia Gas of PA in Pittsburgh, PA and the Consolidated Gas Supply Company in Clarksburg.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John “Bull” Gump; one brother, Dale G. Church; and two sisters, Margaret Bissett and Elizabeth Lang.

          At the request of the family a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jason Morgan officiating at the Harmony Cemetery

The Tennant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
