BRENDA LEA TENNANT

          Brenda Lea Tennant of Daybrook passed away on September 24, 2026.  She was born January 6, 1973.  She passed due to complications from cancer.  She was the second daughter of Alan and Margaret Simpson of Blacksville, sister Beth Howard of Blacksville and son Travis Howard and (Alexia) of Pittsburgh.

          She married Bryan Tennant of Daybrook April 5, 1995, and had two sons, Wyatt and (Annie) of Mannington, and Wade of Blacksville.

          Brenda was a member of the Church of Christ at East Side Church of Christ in Fairmont.

          She graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in 1991, and graduated from Fairmont State College School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.  Over the following years she worked at Monongalia General Hospital, Fairmont General Hospital, Health South/Encompass, and lastly at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home.  She dedicated most of her life to the care of others.

          Also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Vickie Brewer of Paulden AZ, and brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Fran Tennant of Daybrook.

          Brenda was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Joann Tennant of Daybrook.

          Also, she wanted listed her four-legged family preceding her Goldie and Ziggy, horses, Spanky and Cuddles dogs, and Katie the cat.

          Special thanks to all who was praying for her and for those taking care of her through it all.

          Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV on October 2, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2026 with Evangelist Jeremy Joy officiating.
