JOSEPH R. BLACKWELL
Joseph Robert Blackwell, 68, of Burton, WV died Wednesday, November 4, 2026 in the WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.
He was born December 22, 1957 at Arlington, VA, a son of the late Joseph Albert Blackwell and Nelda Waldecker Blackwell Moore.
Joe was a construction worker who worked at building homes. He was a member of the Truth Assembly Chapel of Wadestown.
Surviving is his wife, Kimberly Suthard Blackwell; one daughter, Mandy McMacaway of Winchester, VA; one step-daughter, Hannah Sullivan of York, PA; two sisters, Alice Young of North Carolina and Pam Sherfey of Stanley, Virginia; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Blackwell.
Friends may call at the Truth Assembly Chapel, 10651 Mason-Dixon Highway, Burton, WV from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 12:00 Noon on November 11, 2026. Funeral services will be held in the church at noon with Pastor Jason Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery near Earnshaw.
