Jackie Lynn Eddy, 75, of Daybrook, WV died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born December 28, 1940 in Monongalia County, a son of the late Orval Wayne Eddy and Martha Blendine Hamilton Eddy.
Jack was a retired hoist operator and worked in mine shaft construction.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Fluharty Eddy; one son, Larry Eddy of Wright City, Missouri; one daughter, Lisa Barnette of Core; four brothers, Herbert Eddy of Madison, Ohio, Donnie Eddy of Little River, SC, Freddie Eddy of Daybrook, and Randy Eddy of Jakes Run; two sisters, Peggy Chisler of Daybrook and Nancy Leary also of Daybrook; and four grandchildren, Tyler Barnette, Aaron Barnette, Nathan Eddy and Megan Eddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Charles Eddy and a sister Gatha Gail Tennant.
At the request of the deceased all services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
