Nehemiah “Curley” Kassay, 76, of Daybrook, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at his residence.
He was born December 22, 1939 at Jewel Ridge, VA, a son of the late Stephen J. Kassay and Ruthy Nell Stevenson Kassay.
Curley worked for the Williamson Shaft Company. His company put in shafts for the coal mines.
Mr. Kassay was Methodist by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Patty Ann Shriver Kassay; two sons, Michael Charles Kassay of Christiansburg, VA and Nehemiah Lee Kassay of Daybrook; one daughter, Milisa Dawn Lybarger of Daybrook; one brother, Charles Albert Kassay of Princeton; and three grandchildren, Caitlyn Kassay, Jacob Kassay, and Ella Lybarger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stephen Kassay; one sister, Naomi Olinger; and one grandson, Jole Lybarger.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
