Mark Edward Rawlings, 57, of Pentress, WV died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born December 11, 1958 in Charleston, WV, a son of Clarence E. Rawlings or Bridgeport and the late Ella Mae Mobley Rawlings.
Mark was employed by Hobart in Clarksburg as a food service commercial equipment technician. He was also a licensed plumber.
Mr. Rawlings was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist of Clarksburg. He was a constituent with the Miracle Run United Methodist, Wana United Methodist, Blacksville United Methodist and Olive United Methodist Church. He was very active in his church where he sang in the choir and dearly loved his church family.
He was a member of the Clarksburg Lodge #155 AF & AM; Loyal Order of the Moose of Clarksburg; and the Christ Church ABC Bowling League of Clarksburg. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School class of 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry McClung Rawlings; his step-mother, Wanda Rawlings; one son and his wife, Noah Rawlings and Kasey of Clarksburg; one daughter and her husband, Kara West and Conrad of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Thomas Rawlings and wife Patty of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Pam Allen and husband John of Staunton, VA; two grandchildren, Fletcher West and Zoey Rawlings; his dog, Mohawk Rawlings; and several nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating.
