Bennie Wilson, 92, of Daybrook, died Monday, September 14, 2015 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born November 16, 1922 at Willow Tree, PA, a son of the late Willie F. Wilson and Daisy Tuttle Wilson.
Bennie was a 67 year member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #152 of Morgantown.
Mr. Wilson was baptized at the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle.
Surviving are three sons; Jerry Wilson and his wife Eileen of Pentress, Jeffrey Wilson of Spraggs, PA, and Jim Wilson and his wife Carol of Daybrook; four daughters, Judy Wilson of Pentress, Joyce Clark and her husband Dave of Fairview, Jackie Cowell and her husband Frank of Morgantown, and Jan Wilson of Daybrook; fourteen grandchildren, Holly Hormell, Heidi Hormell, Scott Cowell, Kim Hawley, Todd Cowell, Tammy Ammons, Trina Shriver, Marla Poling, Jeff Wilson, Jr., Jenny Wilson, Michelle Wilson-Owen, Jimmy Wilson, Jr., Bennie Wilson, and Chris Wilson; twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bennie was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Cleva Ammons Wilson, whom he married on February 20, 1942 and who died on May 17, 1999; five brothers, Boyd, Blaine, Johnny, Denny, and Billy Joe Wilson; and two sisters, Otella Kelly and Mary Jane Weislogel.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 5-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
