James Robbins, 87, of (Blue Goose Community) Fairview, WV died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at his residence.
He was born March 15, 1928 at Waynesburg, PA.
Mr. Robbins was a retired laborer from the laborers union as well as a retired coal miner. He was a member of UMWA District #31 of Fairmont.
Surviving are three sons, Gary Robbins, Samuel Robbins, and Daniel Robbins all of Blue Goose; one daughter, Deborah Mercer of Hundred; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Joanna R. Robbins, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-8 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PMin the funeral home. His body will be cremated following the services. Interment of the cremains will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
