Dorothy J. Tennant, 91, of Crossroads Community, Wadestown, WV, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born April 30, 1924 at Brave, PA, a daughter of the late Leroy Cumberledge and Fern Haught Cumberledge.
Mrs. Tennant was a retired aide and clerk from Monongalia General Hospital.
Dorothy was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Crossroads.
Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Robert “Bob” Tennant and his wife Ruby and Richard “Rich” Tennant and his wife Vickie all of Crossroads; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Tennant; five sisters, Margaret Haught, Glenda Wood, June Evans, Susan Parsons, and Jean Smith; and by three brothers, Howard Cumberledge, Jack Cumberledge, and Gary Cumberledge.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at 2:00 on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 with Pastor Jeff Musgrave officiating. Following services her body will cremated. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later time in the Pine Bank Cemetery, Pine Bank, PA.
