Alma "Abe" M. Joseph, 88, of Akron, Ohio died October 9, 2014. He was born on June 29, 1926 in Morgantown, WV.
Abe was a coal miner for 13 years and later moved the family to Ohio where he retired from Logan Metal Stampings.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing in Nags Head, NC where he won many awards for his great catches.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Alma J. Joseph and many siblings.
Survivors include one son, James Joseph and his wife Rita; one daughter, Carolyn McCardle and her husband Ramon Luna; grandchildren, Tony (Julie), Michael (Theresa), Bill (Melissa), and Tracy; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 4-8 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
