Ruby A. Copeland, 85, of Daybrook, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born June 18, 1927 at Fairview, a daughter of the late Joseph L. Eddy and Florence E. Tennant Eddy.

Mrs. Copeland was retired from Seneca Glass Company in Morgantown. She also worked as a cook at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Ruby was a wonderful baker, cook, and caterer. She was well known for her pies that she baked for the Daybrook Fair.

Ruby was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ. She also bowled on two different bowling leagues, of which one was in Fairmont and one in Waynesburg.

Surviving are one son and his spouse, Robert Dale and Carol Copeland of Burton; three daughters and their spouses, Donna and Don Clovis of Melbourne, FL, Peggy and Jim McDougal of Waynesburg, and Dortha and Randy Lantz of Morgantown; two brothers and their spouses; Paul & Carol Eddy of Hagans and Tom and June Eddy of Fairview; one sister and her husband, Janice and Ray Brummage of Mooresville; fifteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband, Kyle Wayman Copeland; one son, Duane Copeland; one daughter, Nancy Ruckle; five brothers and sisters, Louella Bane, Eileen Moore, Betty Pearl Eddy, Olen Eddy, and Regina Eddy.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Evangelist Aaron Snider officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
