Emma Gaye Jackson McCord, 88, of Cassville, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born October 22, 1924, a daughter of the late James R. and Flora Mae Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Herbert Lonnie McCord, Sr.; two sisters, Juanita Jackson and Lori Jackson; two brothers, Elvin R. Leon Jackson and James Jackson.
Emma was a member of Star City Christian Assembly.
Surviving are three sons, James (Sonny) and wife Linda, Herbie Jr and his wife Joyce, and John and his wife Vicki; and one daughter, Marlena and her husband James Ponceroff; her caregivers, Kristina McCord Wells and Bethany Workman; one brother, Vaughn and his wife Sue Jackson; sister-in-laws, Alice Jackson and Mary Ann Jackson; ten grandchilren, J. D., James Lee, Jason, Kristina, Jimmy, Jodi, Aaron, Tim, Bobbie and Tammy; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Pastor William Rowan officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
