Hazel E. Anderson, 97, of New Freeport, PA died Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.
Mrs. Anderson was born January 7, 1919 at Kodol, WV, a daughter of the late Asa Stout and Oda Gump Stout.
Hazel was a homemaker.She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church at Garrison, PA.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Lee Anderson of North Canton, OH, Gary Ray Anderson of Berkshire, NY, and Wilbur T. Anderson of Washington, PA; two daughters, Vivian Langston of Pittsburgh, PA and Shirley Neely of New Freeport, PA; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Anderson was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Anderson who died on October 11, 2000; one son, Kenneth Anderson; one granddaughter, Christine Tenney; three sisters, Etta Stout, Emma Fordyce, and Julia Peterson; and five brothers, Russell Stout, Everett Stout, Thurman Stout, Samuel Stout, and Cephus Stout.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Tuesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with the Rev. Cynthia Deter officiating.Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Ned, PA.
