Hazel M. Tennant, 81, of Morgantown, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the Golden Living Center in Morgantown.
She was born September 9, 1930 at Core, a daughter of the late George Montgomery and Goldie McCord Montgomery.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker and a former employee of the Colashire Manufacturing Company.
Hazel was a member of the Madigan Avenue Church of Christ. She was a member of the Red Hat Society at the Golden Living Center and former member of the Blacksville EMS.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Tennant and his wife Roberta of Core and Robert L. Tennant and his friend Hank of Morgantown; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, is her husband, Lawrence D. (Ding) Tennant; one son, Gary Paul Tennant; a great-grandson, Jayden Tennant; one brother, Harold J. Montgomery, and four sisters, Evelyn V. Lane, Madeline Bates, Betty Lou Montgomery, and Helen Lemley.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Bill Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
