Earl Spencer Morris Eddy, 78, of Pentress, died Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born July 26, 1934 at Morgantown, a son of the late Ralph Eddy and Mary E. Davis Eddy.
Mr. Eddy was a retired coal miner. He retired from Consolidation Coal Company Blacksville #2 mine where he worked as a mechanic. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District #31 in Fairmont.
Surviving are his wife, C. Sue Willard Eddy; three sons, Billy, Junior, and Jonathan Eddy and his wife Brandy; three daughters, Earlene, Crystal, and Wendy; one brother, Kyle Eddy; four sisters, Gracie Drake, Helen Dement, Odra Mitchell, and Karen Mitchell; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Dale, Jesse, and Glenn.
The family would like to say thanks to Dr. Richard Gias, Dr. Morgan Lyons, and Dr. Andrzel Jaworski for their care and compassion shown to Earl and his family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, (November 17, 2012) in the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating.
