Carol Tennant, 78, of Mt. Morris, PA died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Golden Living Center in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born July 9, 1933 at Uniontown, PA, a daughter of the late Smith J. Lantz, Sr. and Cecyle M. Powell Lantz.
Carol formerly worked as an Executive Assistant to the Dean of Journalism at West Virginia Univeristy.
Mrs. Tennant was a member of the Blacksville Baptist Church and most recently had been attending the John Corbly Baptist Church in Gerards Fort, PA.
Surviving are one daughter, Melanie Tennant of Kettering, Ohio and one brother, Smith J. Lantz, Jr. of Oakland, MD.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Ralph Blaine Tennant, who died on August 31, 2011, and a sister, Marjorie June Long.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 4-7 PM Monday, (December 26, 2011). Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Tuesday with Dr. Stewart Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
