Maudie Ord, 68, of Wana, WV died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her residence.She was born April 26, 1941 at Crossroads, WV, a daughter of the late Walter F. Stewart and Lucille Agnes Barr Stewart.Maudie was a homemaker and she most recently attended the Blacksville United Methodist Church. She was also involved with the Senior Citizens of Blacksville.Maudie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Walter and Shearry Ord of McDowell, KY along with their daughter Chelsea Nicole Ord. She is also survived by a Special Friend Walter “Gene” Gillett; three brothers Jesse Paul Stewart, Dexter Merle Stewart, and James Freeman Stewart; a sister-in-law, Judy Vandegrift; three sisters Eva Lee Stewart, Mary Rose Currence, and Zelma Brummage.In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Ross Ord and a brother Roy Franklin Stewart.Friends will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM on Thursday, February 11th, 2010. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 12th at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Lancaster officiating.
