Charles Lawrence Sypolt, 83, of Florence, Alabama died Sunday, April 19, 2009.
Mr. Sypolt was a native of West Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Florence.
Surviving are his wife, Lyda Ruth Jeffrey League Sypolt, of Florence, Alabama; sons Michael League and wife Sheila of Florence, and Shane League of Florence; daughters, Jean Szegedy and husband, John of Florida and Charlene Cearns and husband Keith, of Georgia; two brothers, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Bro. Chris Compton and the doctors and the staff of ICU at ECM Hospital.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Malone officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service time.
Additional visitation will be held on Friday at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress, WV.
