Charles "Fred" Hamill, 69, of Daybrook, WV died Monday, September 28, 2009 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born October 28, 1939 in Indiana, PA a son of the late Roy Clark Hamill and Mildred Steele Hamill.

Fred worked for Interstate Ameisite, Central Cambria Drilling Company, was self employed as a truck driver, and owned his own business, DMT Farm Supply. He served in the United States Army Reserves during the Berlin Crisis.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Houser Hamill; his children, Karen Getty and her husband Jim of Marion Center, PA, Charles Frederick Hamill, Jr and his wife Terri of Creekside, PA, David Hamill and his wife Dollie of Spraggs, PA, Terri Luke and her husband Bob of Morgantown, WV, Becky Williamson and her husband Lonnie of Colorado, and Lisa Bennett of Morgantown; ten grandchildren, Justin and wife Nicole, Megan, Jenna, Chad, Sonnie Jo, David, Jordan, Levi, Josh, and Nichalas; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Kaylee Hamill; one brother and his wife, Roger D. Hamill and Nicki of Midlothian, VA; two sisters and their husbands, Elaine Stewart of Charlotte, NC and Dr. Barbara E. Carter and her husband Thomas of Brownsville, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Ernest Houser and Mabel Kinter Houser.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Friday with the Pastor Freddie Eddy, II officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Gilgal Cemetery located at Marion Center, PA.
