Hazel V. Yeager, 84, of Brave, PA died Friday, January 25, 2008 at her daughter's residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 19, 1923 at Weston, WV a daughter of the late Hoy Teter and Ruth Bond Teter.
Hazel was a housewife and homemaker. She formerly worked for the United States Postal Service at the Brave, PA post office for over seventeen years as the assistant postmaster. She was a member of the Kent's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter & son-in-law, Jane and Gary Moore of Spraggs, PA; four grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Lindsay Moore, Christopher Moore, and Amy Moore; one brother, Harold Teter of Morgantown; one sister, Beulah Beavers of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Yeager; five brothers, Francis Teter and four brothers who died in infancy.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the Rev. Chester Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvery Cemetery at Morgantown.
