Florence E. McCoy, 57, of Daybrook, WV died Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born September 8, 1950 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Williams Luther McCoy and Florence Foley McCoy.
Florence was a former employee of WVU Hospital in Morgantown where she worked as a custodian. She was a member of the Blacksville Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, William McCoy; one daughter, Brenda McCoy; three brothers, George McCoy, Nimrod McCoy, and Thomas McCoy; and four sisters, Mary Tennant, Annie McCoy, Edna Carpenter, and Lucy Varner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister who died as an infant, Nancy McCoy; and three brothers, Dennis McCoy, Henry McCoy, and Earl McCoy who died as an infant.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Tuesday, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday with the Pastor Don Staten officiating.
Interment will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Daybrook.
