Walter B. Hixenbaugh, Jr, 69, of Blacksville, WV died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on November 21, 2008.
He was born December 10, 1938, at Carmichaels, PA, a son of the late Walter B. Hixenbaugh, Sr. and Mary Thelma Stickles.
Mr. Hixenbaugh was a retired iron worker. He retired with 50 years of service and was a member of Ironworkers Local #3 out of Pittsburgh, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Jakes Run Assembly of God.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Copeland Hixenbaugh; one son & spouse, Troy and Debbie Hixenbaugh of Petersburg, WV; one daughter & spouse, Stacy and Randy Rodeheaver of Blacksville; grandchildren, Felicia, Tonda & Alexis Hixenbaugh, Chris & Jen Rodeheaver, Matthew Rodeheaver & Rachel Jones; great-grandchildren, Matthew (Little Man) Rodeheaver II and Nikita Renee Rodeheaver; and one brother, Ronald Hixenbaugh of Carmichaels, PA.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 PM on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
